Go to now! Family Renaissance Inc. in collaboration with Humanities New York welcomes participants to our reading and discussion group-Baldwin’s America. Situating Yourself: From the era of James Baldwin, “destroyer of the peace” to the era of Donald Trump.
For six Mondays – November 6 through December 11, participants with facilitator Andrea Phillips-Merriman, will meet and explore collected essays of James Baldwin: Stranger in the Village (1955); Fifth Avenue Uptown: A Letter from Harlem (1961) and Letter to My Nephew on the Hundredth Anniversary of Emancipation (1963).
Come discover and explore the writings of “the most important essayist of the postwar period” whose writings have become intensely relevant today.
