Night of Philosophy & Ideas
January 27 @ 7:00 pm - January 28 @ 7:00 am| Free
Brooklyn Public Library’s Night of Philosophy & Ideas is an all-night series of lectures co-presented by BPL’s Arts & Culture department and the French Embassy’s Cultural Services. The event will feature approximately 75 philosophers (local, national, and international) who will each lead 20 minute discussions on a variety of related subjects. In addition, a number of artistic performances will be presented hourly throughout the event—featuring film screenings (including historical films from 1968 Paris student uprisings), dance and musical performances —to punctuate the multiple discussions. The event is offered free of charge to the public.
This program was funded in part by a Humanities New York Action Grant.
