Using Art to Explore Islamic Cultural Traditions Today: Artists’ Panel Discussion
April 7| Free
The Katonah Museum of Art will host a conversation about how creative thinkers can use tradition to create a new vocabulary that speaks to their own experience of time and place with artists Afruz Amighi, Jordan Nassar, and Hadieh Shafie and moderated by the exhibition’s curator, Elizabeth Rooklidge. This is one of the public programs taking place in connection with the Katonah Museum of Art’s exhibition Long, Winding Journeys: Contemporary Art and the Islamic Tradition (February 25 – June 17, 2018).
This program was funded in part by a Humanities New York Action Grant.
