Greater Oneonta Historical Society: Exhibition, Opening Reception

The Greater Oneonta Historical Society will re-open its doors to the History Center at 183 Main Street (Oneonta, NY) for a grand re-opening and viewing of our new permanent exhibition, "Small Community, Big Ideas: Greater Oneonta." The event will include a curator-led tour of the exhibition, remarks, a Q&A, and a welcome by GOHS' Executive Director, Dr. Marcela Micucci.

Heroes In Hard Times, a Reading & Discussion program at Suffern Free Library

Suffern Free Library 210 Lafayette Avenue, Suffern

Dr. Ann Fey will lead a discussion series over the course of five weeks based on the theme of Heroes in Hard Times. The readings will include short narratives by varied writers such as Cheever, Thurber, Faulkner and Chekhov, as well as selected contemporary stories emerging in recent editions of the New Yorker. Participants will benefit not only from the reading of quality literature, but from sharing their comments and opinions on their own centrality as main characters in the hard times of the pandemic, when isolation and stress ran high.
