AKOMA Women’s Gospel Choir at Sonnenberg

On June 23rd, Sonnenberg Gardens and 1816 Farmington Quaker Meetinghouse will partner to present the Rochester-based Akoma women’s gospel choir, who will perform a concert, focusing on songs about suffrage, slavery and abolition. Akoma is Rochester’s African American Women’s Gospel Choir. Twenty-six Rochester area churches currently are represented on AKOMA’s roster of more than 47 active sister-members.The concert will be held outside, on the steps of the mansion veranda, facing the Italian Gardens.
Admission to the concert is $7.50.
