Everson Juneteenth Free Community Day

The Everson Museum of Art will host a free Community Day to celebrate African Diaspora, African-American, and Oceanic culture and heritage on June 19, 2022, or Juneteenth at it is commonly known. This free event welcomes community members from across the region for storytelling, art-making activities, live dance and spoken word performances, special guest speakers, African food tastings and cooking demonstrations, film screenings, a marketplace, and docent-led tours of the current exhibition Sharif Bey: Facets, which focuses on West African and Oceanic sculpture and ceramics. Events will be held inside the Museum and outside on the Everson Community Plaza.
