Land, Liberty, and Loss: a Reading & Discussion program at Woodstock Library

Woodstock Library presents a six-week reading and discussion group hosted by educator Martin Haber and focusing on Revolutionary War-era America, especially as that history relates to our immediate area in Ulster County. Participants will read from several texts to prompt reflection on assumptions about the human connectedness between the natural and built environments, and to allow us to reconsider in a holistic sense how the Revolution which resulted in the United States connects to or disrupts indigenous histories, our use of natural resources, political development, and national expansion.
