A series of five sessions would be held focused on Richard Rothstein’s “The Color of Law” and how government policies and practices at the local, state and federal levels contributed to segregation and racism and so much recent social strife in our country. The program would be including an introductory discussion followed by three deeper dives and a wrap-up session. The sessions, which would be held on alternative Wednesdays starting October of 2021, will be led by two scholars who bring expertise from both social history, legal perspectives and documentary work on the impact of government policies on local communities.
