This series invites participants to discuss, learn from, and laugh at the past 32 years of history through the lens of the enormously popular and occasionally prophetic animated series The Simpsons. We will screen clips from the show significant for their sagacity, discuss them as a group, read interviews with the show’s writers, and conclude each session with a better understanding of history, scientific breakthroughs, U.S. politics, and other subjects hilariously lampooned on the The Simpsons.
