The Sum of Us: What Racism Costs Everyone and How We Can Prosper Together, a Reading & Discussion program with LWV Albany County

A series of five sessions would be held focused on Heather McGhee’s book “The Sum of Us: What Racism Costs Everyone and How We Can Prosper Together” which offers an in depth exploration of inequality and the cost of racism for everyone not just people of color. Because this book looks at the cost of racism from an economic perspective, this discussion is an excellent follow up to our most recent Community Discussion on “The Color of Law”.
