Women, Power, and Politics
March 5 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm$38 – $48
Kati Marton, a George Foster Peabody Award-winning journalist and a human rights advocate, will lead a conversation between Andrea Elliott, Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter for the New York Times; Eliza Griswold, a distinguished writer in residence at New York University and a contributing writer for the New Yorker; and Lydia Polgreen, a George Polk Award-winning journalist and Editor-in-Chief of HuffPost. The discussion will explore the results of the 2018 midterm elections and the arrival of a new field of female politicians that have made Capitol Hill more gender diverse than ever before, while also highlighting the historical women who exerted political power, influence, and agency long before the 19th amendment gave them the right to vote.
