Humanities NY cut its first disaster relief grant check just 13 days after Hurricane Sandy, making it easier and faster for cultural organizations in New York State to focus on rebuilding. We continue this work with resiliency networks.
Public Humanities
Fellowship
A year-long Fellowship allowing graduate students to work on a project that combines their research interest, public-facing work and professional development. It includes training in the methods of the public humanities, networking, and professional development.

An innovative statewide partnership between Humanities NY and a network of humanities centers based at seven New York State universities. HCI supports humanities institutes, faculty, and graduate students in their commitment to public engagement.

Humanities NY celebrates the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage in New York by facilitating a statewide discussion on the social, professional and political progress of women and, by extension, all citizens in New York.
