Stevens is Akwesasne Mohawk and holds a position as Asst. Professor and Director of the the Native American and Indigenous Studies Program at Syracuse University. Talk complements the Museum's current exhibition Oil & Water: Works by Ernest Smith, Jesse Cornplanter, and James Beaver.
