Since 1975, Humanities New York has enriched the lives of New Yorkers. Grants awarded to cultural organizations and graduate students have resulted in immeasurable contributions to the state’s reputation as a global center for culture and knowledge. Supported by HNY, luminaries such as James Baldwin, Oliver Sacks, and Ken Burns have left an indelible imprint on society.
