Opportunity: Panel Exhibition
A Partnership with New-York Historical Society
Drawing from the portable exhibition Black Citizenship in the Age of Jim Crow, HNY is offering Quick Grants to cover the cost of printing for eight, 40-x-30-inch panels that tell the dramatic, national story of the struggle for black equality after the end of slavery. Request digital files free of charge by emailing the New York Historical Society; for funding, see below.
Quick Grants award $500 to $1,500 for in-person public humanities projects that encourage audiences to reflect on their values, explore new ideas, and engage with others in their community. Available to organizations whose total yearly operating expenses are $250,000 or less. These grants aim to:

 

  • Support smaller organizations in offering engaging public programming
  • Promote equity in access to the humanities, ensuring that New Yorkers of all backgrounds and from all regions may engage in cultural programming
HOW TO APPLY

To apply for an HNY grant, register through the Grantee Portal link below, where you can also resume an application, view your awards, or submit final reports.

DEADLINES

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Applicants should submit proposals at least two months in advance of their planning start date. Don't hesitate to reach out by email to [email protected].
